Class
Rules:
Each student is expected to follow the CCHS rules as outlined in the
Student Code of Conduct. They are also expected to show respect to each
other, as well as the teacher, at all times. “You do not have
to respect someone in order to be respectful to them.”
•
Students that are tardy should report to room 219.
• Restroom breaks are limited to 1 per class period and students
must use the restrooms closest to room 306.
• Food and drinks with a lid are allowed in room 306, but not
in the lab.
Grading Policies:
As outlined by CCHS policy, the six weeks grade will be comprised of
60% major grades and 40% daily grades. Major grades can include exams,
projects, assessment labs, as well as other assignments determined by
the teacher. Each 6 weeks, a 6 weeks test will count as one of the major
grades. Daily grades can include quizzes, homework, reinforcement labs,
as well as other assignments determined by the teacher. All assignments
will identified as major or daily at the time they are assigned. The
majority of bookwork assigned is for reinforcement and exam preparation
and will not be taken as a grade, however, there are times when this
work will be for a grade. Students will be notified if the assignment
is for a grade.
Tutorials are offered after school from 2:51 until 3:10. Since I also
coach, I may not be available for tutorials on game days. Students may
schedule other times with me for tutorials.
Late work for the first three weeks of the grading period will be accepted
until progress report grades are to be turned in by the teacher. Late
work for the fourth and fifth week of the grading period must be turned
in no later than Friday of the fifth week of the grading period. No
late work will be accepted during the last week of the grading period.
It is the responsibility of the student to find out what work they are
missing and to turn it in on time.
Exams may be retaken by students during the tutorial period and must
be completed before the 6 weeks exam is given.
It is the responsibility of the student to communicate these
class policies to their parent or guardian.
